Barbarian Tribes are non-player settlements that are located across the world. They can be attacked by players to gain Loot instead of attacking other cities. When they are finally overcome, there is a reward of extra loot for the victorious army.
Barbarian Tribes are generated randomly all over the map, and range in level from 1-10. Each one starts with 10 camps, each containing a group of units that must be beaten in order to defeat the tribe. They will move after 3 days if not attacked.
- Units will begin looting from round 1 when battling Barbarian Tribes rather than wait until round 6.
- The number of troops in a tribe is shown by the upkeep value. Always send an army at LEAST 3 times the upkeep to guarantee a profitable engagement.
- Upon defeating all the barbarians in the camp, your troops will be awarded all the excess loot at the camp as bonus loot. Therefore it is more important to kill the barbarians quickly than to make sure you have enough carry to grab all the loot before the battle ends.
Barbarian Tribes are well defended by a variety of different troops. Due to their superstitious nature, they reject the use of any vile machine type armaments, but have rigorous standards for their troops. 60% of their composition is determined through the following chart; 40% is pure random.
A specific level of Barbarian Tribe will always spawn the same amount of upkeep. However, the total number of units may differ based on how much upkeep each unit is worth.
